How Ehab Allababidi's campaign website handles your pledge, your questions, participation requests, and the sources published here.
Updated October 30, 2026.
Your pledge signature.
When you sign the write-in pledge, the campaign receives your first and last name, email address, ZIP code, optional ward, voter status, your drawn or typed signature, the time you signed, and whether you agreed to appear on the signer wall. If you arrived through a supporter's personal link, the pledge records that link's code so the supporter is credited. The campaign also records a general traffic source, such as a campaign link or the website that referred you.
Pledges are stored in the campaign's private database, provided through the Vercel Marketplace. Your email address is used to prevent duplicate signatures. The public signer wall shows only your first name, last initial, and ward, and only when you check that box. Signatures themselves are never published.
The pledge is the campaign's organizing list. It is not an election-board petition and is not filed with any government office.
Your campaign request.
When you submit the participation form, the campaign receives your name, email address, request type, topic, message, optional ZIP code, and the time you agreed to be contacted. This information helps the campaign respond and organize participation. The site is hosted on Vercel, and submissions are saved in private Vercel storage accessible to the campaign.
Your contact information is not sold. A submission records your request for the campaign; it does not send an email on your behalf.
Your conversation.
The campaign concierge answers from published campaign material and source notes. Your conversation is not saved. Questions are not sent to an outside AI service.
Advertising and tracking.
This website has no advertising pixels, third-party analytics scripts, or tracking cookies. Images and fonts are served by this site. A supporter's referral code is kept in your browser's session storage until you sign, and your own signer code is kept in your browser so your organizer page is one click away. The server may keep ordinary operational logs; questions and form contents are excluded from access logs.
Corrections and deletion.
To request a correction to your information, removal from the signer wall, or deletion of a pledge or campaign submission, email defcon5ready@gmail.com from the address associated with the request.
Public sources.
The public record links claims to source material and relevant dates. Party filings are identified as filings, and court dispositions are stated from the records. Dated snapshots describe the period covered by their sources. Election dates come from the Chicago Board of Election Commissioners' adopted 2027 election calendar.
Original court documents are linked from their corresponding record pages. If you find a factual error or have a later official court record, send the relevant document or docket reference through the contact page.
Photography and fonts.
Candidate portraits come from the architect.estate source assets. Chicago river photography is by Gael D on Unsplash. Locally hosted fonts are provided under their open font licenses.
